Robert Liberace "The Figure in Motion"
I'm thinking that many of our budgets will be tight this Christmas and for me, one item on my Christmas List this year is a Drawing DVD. Part of my "OCD" nature is to evaluate a handful I have come across and rate them, by percentage, on an Excel Spreadsheet. [I hope you will forgive the fact that Excel does not "copy" well into my Blog application]. That said, the list remains flexible--I do not have any of the following DVDs and would be happy to evaluate Academy-Level teaching DVDs for drawing.

3. Length may or may not be important, but it is related to cost comparison.

4. All ratings are based on promotional material describing DVDs.

5. When evaluating "artist's excellence" this is simply a visit to each artist's website for a basic assessment of body
|
|
|
|
of work. In other words, is the artist using what he/she is teaching with excellence
|
|
|
|
in a variety of work and settings. This might tell me if the training
|
|
|
|
|
is limited in scope, or more broadly applicable.
|
|
|
|
|
|
6. The Waichulis DVD is a short, inexpensive Beginner Basics DVD that is likely quite excellent for that which it delivers.
